Holistic Leadership – developing a rounded leader.
“Holistic” means “in its entirety” and that’s what we work on with our Holistic Leadership Programme. As leaders we want to gain awareness of how we best maintain balance and live an integrated life. A holistic leader is self-aware and understands their values and what drives them. A holistic leader knows there is a requirement to maintain harmony between both the mind and body as well as relationships, the business and the community.
Our focus areas are:
Body – taking care of your physical body -eating healthily, taking exercise, and resting
Knowing how to take care of yourself emotionally, mentally and physically and the importance of valuing and prioritising these components
Your values and how they tie into your life and your company
Understanding what motivates you both intrinsically and extrinsically
Being aware of relationships and the value they play in who you are
Alongside traditional leadership tools, we explore emotional intelligence and how to manage your emotions. We use Insights profiling, 360º tools, feedback and coaching techniques to understand where strengths and gaps lie. To manage and relieve stress we use meditation and mindfulness and can also arrange short yoga and stretching sessions. We can prepare food diaries and nutrition advice and get your team involved in physical activities.
All of this increases self belief, confidence, awareness, motivation and engagement and decreases sickness, absence and stress.
